KADMOS Cloud
KADMOS is an ICR and OCR technology for developers based on a unique “discriminative entropy” method that does not depend on dictionaries. KADMOS offers exceptionally high processing speed in over 200 languages for hand and machine writing.
In addition to supported platforms such as (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iOS), we have prepared KADMOS for the cloud. Kadmos is now available for 64-bit ARM based AMAZON EC2 virtual Server.
These 64-bit ARM-based Amazon EC2 virtual servers have up to 40% better price performance when compared to equivalent Intel/AMD based systems. That could mean a big difference for computation intensive workloads; automatic scale-out offer additional flexibility.
The ARM processor that Amazon is using within these EC2 hosts is the so-called Graviton, of which the newer Graviton2 is now being provisioned onto newer systems.
Eventually, besides the most-common Intel/AMD library variants that are already AWS compatible and do run on Intel/AMD host systems, Kadmos is now available for these ARM-based Amazon EC2 virtual server configurations, and both Graviton and Graviton2 CPUs are supported. Specific compiler optimizations for these Graviton processors result in roughly +10% performance boost of the Kadmos libraries.
